Healing with plastic wrap
Clean, dry and lightly moisturized
Use this guide when Alex has covered the tattoo with regular plastic wrap.
- 01Remove the wrap
Remove it after about three hours, or at the exact time Alex gave you. Wash your hands before touching the tattoo.
- 02Wash gently
Use lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Do not scrub and do not use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
- 03Let it dry
Allow the tattoo to air dry or pat it gently with a clean paper towel. Never rub it with a fabric towel.
- 04Apply a very thin layer
Use the aftercare product Alex recommended when the skin feels tight or dry. Apply only a very thin layer and follow his timing.
For every healing method
- Use only the product Alex recommended for your tattoo. This may be Aquaphor or Bepanthen; apply a very thin layer and do not over-moisturize.
- Do not soak the tattoo in pools, baths, hot tubs, lakes or the sea for at least two weeks and until the skin has healed. Showers are fine.
- Do not scratch, rub or pick at peeling skin or scabs. Wear loose, clean clothing over the area.
- Keep the healing tattoo out of direct sun. Once it has healed, protect it with broad-spectrum, water-resistant SPF 30 or higher.
